Description:

Come join us at the CCHF Annual all you can eat (Dungeness) Crab Feed, Silent Auction and dancing event on February 11, 2012. Testimonials from last year: "Best Crab Feed in town" "Wonderful music - Dewey Parker is great!" "Our servers were so helpful"

It is at Elk's Lodge, 6446 Riverside Blvd, cross streets-Florin Rd & Riverside Blvd. in Sacramento, CA 95831 from 6-9pm with a no host bar. Tickets are $45. A great value and lower than most in town.

We have a wide variety of silent auction items you can bid on if you still need to pick up a Valentine gift or something for yourself. From a movie night at home to high end resort stays and other creative gifts and donations.

The Crab Feed will be serving hors d'oeuvres, Dungeness crab, pasta, salad, bread and home made desserts. If you call and order a week ahead you can request tri-tip instead of crab.

CENTRAL CALIFORNIA HEMOPHILIA FOUNDATION (CCHF)

CCHF is unlike most of the other foundations in our area because it is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization that serves the Central Valley Region. With no paid staff, and an “army” of diligent board members and passionate volunteers, that means that nearly 100% of the money raised will directly support the programs and services of our organization, instead of supporting salaries and overhead. To focus efforts, CCHF holds one major fundraiser each year – this Crab Feed Dinner, which also features a live and silent auction, and offers an opportunity for local business to introduce themselves to the community and receive recognition for their support.

Last year’s sold-out event attracted over 600 participants and raised almost $50,000 for the organizations’ programs and services, and because of this success, CCHF is able to send kids with genetic bleeding disorders to a special medically supervised summer camp at no charge to them or their families. CCHF also provides emergency financial assistance to patients who, without money for gas or public transport, otherwise wouldn’t have been able to attend their medical appointments. CCHF tutors youth grades 1-12 with bleeding disorders that often miss a lot of school because of painful spontaneous bleeding episodes and then provides college and tech school scholarships to encourage these youth to pursue higher education and make their dreams a reality.
